Yes detention just boring really a bit like writing lines be much easier now with cut and paste lol….one art teacher I know used to keep a piece of plastic hot wheels track and would give a whack with that at times..l.sadly never me

I love true accounts like this, much better than some of the fantasy school stuff you see. This is proper old school 1960s or 70s when there was often a handy plimsoll lying around to dish out some red bottoms. Yes I remember second day at senior school our class was to go swimming I had almost forgotten my trunks just remembered at last minute.
